YOUGHAL HARBOUR [3]. Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "In Forde there are seven settings of this tune, and I have myself some others. Though the tune has already been published, I think it worth while to give here the setting taken down by Forde from Windele: first, because it is a vocal setting, whereas most other settings are instrumental; second, because it is an unusual and good setting; and third, because it is almost identical with the version I learned in my youth. This air is well known all over the South of Ireland" (Joyce). See also "When first I came to the County Limerick."

Source for notated version: "John Windele, the distinguished Cork archaeologist (died 1865)" [Joyce].
