OVER THE MOOR TO MAGGIE [3]. Scottish, Air and Country Dance Tune (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A melody by this name is contained in the 1768 Gillespie Manuscript of Perth, and a number of other 18th century collections, but the earliest printing is in Alexander Stuart's Musick for Allan Ramsey's Collection of Scots Songs (Edinburgh, 1724).
