OPERA HORNPIPE, THE. English, Hornpipe. England, Shropshire. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune entered into John Moore's c. 1837 music copybook is identical to that published by George Forrester in his Flute Player's Pocket Companion (c. 1817).
