PADDY "GO EASY" (Paidin Sasda). AKA and see “Beer Drinker (The),” "Hole in the Hedge (1) (The)," “Jackson's Stranger (1),” “Larry the Beer Drinker," "Wallop the Spot.” Irish, Double Jig. D Major ('A' and 'C' parts) & A Mixolydian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. R.M. Levey printed the tune as “Beer Drinker (The)” in the 19th century, so perhaps the ‘go easy’ of the title is an admonition for moderation in drink. See also the related “Fiddler’s Heaven (1).”
