BALTIGHORAN JIG. AKA - "Baltyoran." Irish, Slip Jig. D Major. Standard tuning. AABB (Kerr): AABBCCDD (Kennedy, O'Farrell). Not Joyce's "Baltyoran" but essentially the same as "Baltiorum" in O'Neill and Bunting. Kennedy's version appears to be identical to O'Farrell's, and was probably his source.

Source for notated version:

Printed sources: Kennedy (Fiddler's Tune-Book: Slip Jigs and Waltzes), 1999; p. 3, No. 3 (appears as "Baltyoran"). Kerr (Merry Melodies, vol. 3), c. 1880's; No. 242, p. 27. O'Farrell (Pocket Companion, vol. IV), c. 1810; p. 108 (appears as "Baulthy Oura").
