PADDY TAYLOR'S (SLIDE). AKA and see "Taylor's Fancy." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded as "Taylor's Fancy" on Paddy Taylor's 1970 album "The Boy in the Gap," and is generally thought to have been composed by him. Taylor (1912-1976) was originally from Loughill, West Limerick, born into a musical family; his father was a singer with a memory for dance tunes, and mother Honora was a locally well-known anglo-concertinist.
