PADDY CRONIN’S [3]. AKA - "Cronin's." AKA and see "Across the Road," “O'Keeffe's Slide (2).” Irish, Slide (12/8 time). Ireland, Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. County Kerry fiddler Paddy Cronin (a long-time resident of Boston, Mass., before he returned to Ireland) played the tune during a radio broadcast in 1949, recorded by RTE. He called the tune "Across the Road" on the broadcast, but his name has become associated with the tune.
