WAY TO NORWICH, THE. AKA and see "Hey Boys Up Go We (2)." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune dates to the seventeenth century where it was published by John Playford in his English Dancing Master (1651) as "Hey Boys, up go We." This title is used twice, and to avoid confusion Douglas and Helen Kennedy published the dance and tune under the title "The Way to Norwich" in the Country Dance, Book new Series.
