PATSY HANLEY’S. AKA - "Patsy Hanly's." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is named for County Roscommon flute player Patsy Hanly, who composed it in the key of C Major, although it is heard in D also. Patsy himself had the reel from fiddler James Hanly of Newtowncashel, Co. Longford, who had learned it from a farm laborer named Eavers who was locally known as a whistler and lilter [1].
