PARISOTT'S. AKA and see "Madam Parisott's Hornpipe," "Whiskey Barrel." AKA – “Parasott.” English, American; Hornpipe. C Major (Cole, Ryan): D Major (Harding): G Major (O’Neill, Wilson). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was published in America by George P. Knauff under the title "Whiskey Barrel" in his Virginia Reels, volume I (Baltimore, 1839). Originally "Madam Parisott's Hornpipe," by the middle of the nineteenth century the title had typically been abbreviated to "Parisott Hornpipe."
