IRISH GIRL [7]--IN ROSINA. Irish, Air (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Rosina was a comic opera in two acts by William Shield [1] (1748-1829), first performed in London in 1781. Like many of Shields' operas, it was intended to be used as a light afterpiece to the full production of an Italian opera, and it is the only one whose score has survived intact.
