WEE WEE BAG OF PRATIES, THE. Irish, Air (4/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A pratie is, of course, a potato. Learned by Joyce during his childhood in the 1840's in Limerick: “I remember also a few lines of the song, but they are quite unworthy of preservation.” Petrie’s “Wee Bag of Praties” is a similar title.
