BUSH IN BLOSSOM, THE. AKA and see "Bush in Bloom (The)." Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The first part of this tune corresponds to the Irish reel "Morning Star." The tune is identical to Francis O'Neill's "Bush in Bloom (The)", from the playing of Chicago fiddler John McFadden. McFadden did not read or write standard notation, and learned his tunes by ear, and perhaps miss-heard the title, substituting 'bloom' for 'blossom'.
