DELVIN HOUSE [1]. Scottish, Reel or Strathspey. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Surenne): AAB (Skye): AABB' (Kerr): AABBCD (McGlashan). Credited to Niel Gow (1727-1806) by MacDonald. Delvin House, Perthshire, was the residence of Sir Alexander Muir MacKenzie in McGlashan's day. See also the Irish variant "Butcher's Apron (The)."
