G Major (Kennedy/Fiddlers, Peacock): A Major (Cole, Kennedy/Dance Music): D Major (O'Neill). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Cole): AAB (Kennedy): AABB (Peacock): AA'BB' (O'Neill). There was a kissing dance by this (and a series of other) names popular in Scotland in the 18th and early 19th centuries (see note for "Babbity Bowster").
