DEVIL'S HORNPIPE. Old-Time, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The melody is similar to "Speed the Plow [1]" and "Blanchard's Hornpipe [1]." It was in the repertoire of Missouri fiddler Roy Wooliver. The title appears in a list of tunes compiled by W.E.G. of Verbena (Chilton County), Alabama, in the Union Banner, September 29th, 1922.
