DID YOU SEE MY MAN LOOKING FOR ME? [1]. AKA and see "An Cailin Deas Donn," "The Pretty Brown Girl [2]," "The/My Pretty Fair Maid," "Move up to me," "Big Bow Wow." Irish, Air (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (O'Neill): AA'BB (Kennedy). Similar to "The Pretty Brown Girl/An Cailin Deas Donn" especially in the second part. Kennedy's version is somewhat distanced from the one printed by O'Neill. O'Neill (1922) says: "Of this old folk song, I remember the following verse:
Did you see my man,
He was a fine man?
Did you see my man looking for me?
He wore a green jacket, a pair of white stockings,
A hump on his back and he's blind in one eye;
A corduroy breeches; his brogues full of stitches
Did you see my man looking for me?
