POOR OULD WOMAN [1]. AKA – “Poor Old Woman,” “Poor Auld Woman.” Irish (originally), New England; Reel. A Dorian (most versions): G Dorian (Levey). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Kerr lists the tune as an “Irish Reel.” It has the same melodic contours as does “Loch Levan Castle”/Tomraney Castle (1)."
