POLLY PUT THE KETTLE ON [4]. AKA and see "Polly's Mountain Kettle." G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Source Byard Ray's "Polly Put the Kettle On" has no relation to other tunes by that title. It is 'crooked', or irregular in the second strain, and was learned by Ray from western North Carolina fiddler Manco Sneed.
