POOR IRISH BOY. Irish. This melody must have impressed Classical composer G.F. Handel during his nine month stay in Ireland as it was copied out in musical setting in a MS book of his which was in the Fitzwilliam Museum at the turn of the (20th) century (Flood, 1906).
