PORTLAND HORNPIPE. Scottish, Hornpipe. F Major ('A' part): C Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Composed by biography:Carl Volti, born Archibald Milligan in Glasgow in 1849. Volti, a fiddler, composed many tunes found in the Kerr’s collections and also published several tutors, albums of popular songs, national overtures, etc. (Nigel Gatherer).
