NEW FOUND OUT [1], THE. AKA and see "Aggie Whyte's Reel (2)," "Satin Slipper (2) (The)," "Seamus Connolly's Reel." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded in New York City a few days after Christmas, December, 1923, by fiddle and accordion player Frank Quinn (1893-1964) as the second tune paired with "Tuohey's Favorite Reel", albeit both under the title "New Found Out". Quinn is remembered by his family as a shy man, reticent to play publicly.
