Tune properties and standard notation

DIXIE DARLINGS TWO-STEP, THE. Old-Time, Two-Step. USA, Missouri. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody closely follows the tune of the song "My Dixie Darling" from the Carter Family and others. It was a frequently requested tune at the dance near Dixon, Missouri, notes collector R.P. Christeson, "the floor would fill up quickly with couples when this piece was played" (Christeson, 1984, p. 117).
