WIDDOW LADY, THE. Scottish, Country Dance Tune and Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune and dance directions were first published in John Walsh's Third Book of the Compleat Dancing Master (London, c. 1735, p. 89) and in John Johnson's Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances (1740, p. 65).
