WILTSHIRE MARCH, THE. English, March (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "The Wiltshire March" appears in a number of latter 18th century fife tutors and martial collections, including James Oswald's Fifty-Five Marches for the Militia (c. 1759), Longman Lukey & Broderips Compleat Instructions for the Fife (1770), Charles and Samuel Thompson's Compleat Tutor for the Fife (c. 1770), and others.
