DOC JESSUP('S SCHOTTISCHE). Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Missouri. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Phillips): AA'BB' (Beisswenger & McCann). The title honors the person who taught the tune to source Rickman and others; Dr. John Jessup of Hurley, Mo., according to Gordon McCann (2008). Jessup was a medical doctor and a dance fiddler who always wore a derby hat.
