PULLET [3], THE. AKA and see “Boys of Portaferry (The).” Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. David Taylor (1992) believes the root tune of this and related melodies to be a Scots tune called "Pigeon on the Gale" (not to be confused with the modern similarly-titled "Pigeon on the Gate"). See also the related “Sporting Boys (1).”
