RAINY DAY [1], A (An Lá Báistí or La Baisteac). Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Similar to “Lovely Anne (2)" in the first strain. AKA and see "The Flowers of Limerick," "The Telephone," "The Mills Are Grinding [1]," "Salt River [2]," "Ducks on the Pond," "Pigeon on the Pies," "Molly Maguire [1]," "Down the Hill," "Ewe Wi' the Crooked Horn" (floater).

Source for notated version: noted from the playing of uilleann piper Séamus Ennis (Dublin), who learned them from his father, a piper taught by Nicholas Markey who in turn had been taught by the renowned Billy Taylor of Drogheda and later Philadelphia [Breathnach].
