BEAUTIES OF IRELAND, THE (Ailne Na h-Eireann). AKA and see "Irish Lasses (1) (The)." Irish, Single or Double Jig (12/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The melody also appears in the 19th century Alex Sutherland manuscript of County Leitrim, and in the 1770 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician William Vickers (as "Irish Lass (1) (The)"). Vickers has the parts reversed from O'Neill.
