BUCKLEY'S HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe. E Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A difficult composition requiring position playing on the fiddle in the second strain. The hornpipe has been credited to J. Red Buckley, according to Ryan's/Cole's, and to Fred Buckley (of the Original Buckely Serenaders) according to White's, however, the earliest publication, Howe's 1000 (c. 1867), does not give composer credits at all.
