Tune properties and standard notation
DOUBLE KISSES. AKA - "Kiss Her Twice." Scottish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning. AAB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of this tune in Robert Bremner's 1757 collection. The reel also appears in the 1770 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician William Vickers, as "Double Kisses or, Kiss hir Twise." Unfortunately, nothing is known about Vickers. Flute player Thomas Molyneaux (Shelburne, Nova Scotia) also included it in the second of his two music copybooks (c. 1788).
