LONDON POLKA. American, Polka. USA, Ohio. Recorded by fiddler John Baltzell and pianist John F. Burckhardt in 1927. Baltzell was from Mt. Vernon, Ohio, also the home town of minstrel Dan Emmett (d. 1904). Emmett returned to the town in 1888, poor, but later taught Baltzell to play the fiddle. Is this the London Bridge Polka?
