YOUR OLD WIG IS THE LOVE OF MY HEART (Gradh mo chroidhe do shean wig). AKA and see “King of the Fairies (The).” Irish, Air (4/4 time, "with spirit"). G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. Well-known nowadays by the title “King of the Fairies (The).” Irish collector George Petrie also included the tune in his manuscript collection, as an untitled air (Stanford/Petrie, Complete Collection, 1905, No. 1281). Irish versions are predated by the 18th century Scottish version "Bonny Charlie (1)."
