DOWN HOME WALTZ. Old-Time, Waltz. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Drew Beisswenger (2008) finds a similar melody in Samuel Bayard's Dance to the Fiddle (1982), an untitled waltz (p. 567).

Source for notated version: Art Galbraith (1909-1993, near Springfield, Mo.), learned in the 1960's from the playing of local fiddler Warren Dykes and from a Canadian version [Beisswenger & McCann, Phillips].
