DOWN BY THE BACK LANE. AKA and see "Down the Back Lane," "Down the Dark Lane," "Humours of Ayle House (The)," "Boring the Leather," "Tolladh an Leathair". Irish, Double Jig. D mixolyian/G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune is in D mixolydian for much of both parts, but eventually resolves to 'G' at the cadence.
