REILLY'S OWN. AKA and see "Levantine's Barrel," "Tullamore Piper (The)," "Bummer's Reel (1)," "In June" (Pa.). Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was characterized in CBC Programs in the mid-1940's as "an Irish Reel" in radio performances by Don Messer and his Islanders and by Jimmy Growling and his orchestra. It was recorded as "Reilly's Own" as the last tune of a set of reels recorded in 1924 by fiddler J.B. Roy (along with "Miss McLeod's Reel," "McDonald's Reel," "The Chopman," "Guilderoy" and "All Set").
