BONNIE ANNIE [4]. Scottish, Clog. E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. William Bradbury Ryan included another version of the tune in his volume under the title "Copenhagen Hornpipe (1)." The first strain is shared with a large family of British and Irish tunes: Quebec fiddler Joseph Allard recorded a version as "Reel du goglu", and Yorkshire fiddler Lawrence Leadley (1827-1897) entered a version into his music manuscript book as "Quick's Hornpipe." See also the Irish "Captain Corbett's Hornpipe” and “Captain John's Hornpipe."
