EARL OF EGLINTON'S BIRTHDAY. Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A note with the tune in Manson's Hamilton's Universal Tune Book (1853) reads: "Composed by the late Hugh Gilmour, of Stevenston, Ayrshire, and never before published."
