RHIF WYTH. AKA and see "Double Figure of Eight," "Figure of Eight." Welsh, Hornpipe and Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A longways progressive dance and tune collected in Llanover in Monmouthshire as a display dance and “show the influence of the Morris, both in form and movements” (Blake, 1974-1975, p. 22). Nansi Richards learned this hornpipe from her harp teacher, Tom Lloyd, and remarked that it was popular with the Welsh Romany musicians – the Roberts and Wood families. Some have remarked on the similarity with "Morpeth Rant."
