LADY CHARLOTTE MENZIES. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune appears in Malcolm MacDonald's 4th collection, a volume dedicated to the Countess of Breadalbane. Lady Charlotte Menzies (1775-1832) was the eldest daughter of John Murray, fourth Duke of Atholl and widow of Sir John Menzies of Castle Menzies, Perthshire. There was no issue from the first marriage, and Sir John died in 1800. She married secondly vice-admiral Adam Drummond, 7th of Megginch (1771-1849).
