MR. RONALD CRAWFORD OF FRISKIEHALL'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Ronald Crawford (1753-1793) was a Glasgow Merchant who died at his estate of Frisky Hall, in what was then Wester Kilpatrick, now Old Kilpatrick, in May 1793, aged 40. The estate is eight or nine miles from Glasgow, on the Clyde at Bowling Bay, and was turned into a hotel in the 19th century.
