G Minor (McGlashan, Surenne): G Dorian (MacDonald, Mulhollan): A Dorian (Anderson). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Surenne): AAB (Anderson, MacDonald, McGlashan, Mulhollan). Composed by Biography:Malcolm MacDonald as "Miss Jessy Stewart's Reel", first printed in his Collection of Strathspey Reels (1788), dedicated to Mrs. Baird of Newbyth. However, the tune also appears as "Mr. John Shaw Stewart’s," attributed to Niel Gow, and "Miss Hay's Reel (2)," attributed to Robert Petrie.
