MISS HALDAN GLENEAGLES [2]. AKA and see "Mr. John Shaw Stewart’s (2)." Scottish, Strathspey. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in Biography:Malcolm MacDonald’s 2nd Collection of 1789, dedicated to the Earl of Breadalbane. The exact same tune was printed, at almost the same time, by Glasgow musician and fiddler-composer Joshua Campbell who called it "Mr. John Shaw Stewart’s (2)." Who actually composed it, or the proper title, is unknown.
