COIG NA SCALAN. AKA - "Coig na Scalan." AKA and see "Roy's Wife of Aldivalloch," "Lady Francis Wemys' Reel," "Ruffian's Rant (The)," "I'm Over Young to Marry Yet (1)," "Ben Nevis," "Old Virginia," "Kilt is My Delight (The)." Scottish, Reel. "Cog na scalan" refers to a basket for oatcakes, a baking board, or dough trough. The tune appears under this title in the MacFarlan Manuscript (1740).
