REEL DE STE-BLANDINE [2]. AKA and see “Quadrille de Québec 5e partie.” French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). From the repertoire of Montréal fiddler Isidore Soucy (1899-1962), who recorded it in 1926 for the Starr label. The reel is the 5th part of a quadrille named for his home town of Ste-Blandine, near Rimouski, Québec. Soucy recorded the entire quadrille two separate times on 78 RPM, in 1926 and 1932.
