Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. An early printing appears in Dublin publisher Benjamin Cooke's Cooke's Selection of the Present Favourite Country Dances for the Year 1796 (No. 4). Unrelated to "Go to the Devil and Shake Yourself (1)." The jig appears in the 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist musician John Rook of Waverton, Cumbria.
