ROBERT JORDAN. Irish, Air or Planxty (whole time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by blind Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738). Donal O'Sullivan (1958) mentions that Belfast collector Edward Bunting noted in his manuscripts: "The only tune composed by Carolan in the style of O'Caghen, wanting 4th." O'Caghen was a harper more famously known as Rory Dall Ó Catháin (O'Kane).
