IRISH GIRL [4], THE. AKA and see "Christmas Day in the Morning (4)," "Love for Ever (1)." English, Jig. B Flat Major (Kerr): A Major (Doyle, Gow, Köhler’s). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Northumbrian musician William Vickers included the tune as "Love for Ever (1)" in hin 1770 music manuscript collection.

Source for notated version: a c. 1847 music manuscript by Ellis Knowles, a musician from Radcliffe, Lancashire, England [Plain Brown Tune Book].
