The tune was first printed in Daniel Wright's Aria di Camera (London, 1727, No. 75), and was subsequently published by John Walsh in his Second Collection of Thirty New and Choice Country Dances set for the Harpsichord or Spinnet (London, c. 1730) and Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1735 and 1749, p. 109).
