MINSTREL'S FANCY. AKA - "Minstrel's Favourite," "Minstrel's Hornpipe." AKA and see "Buck from the Mountain (The)," "McElligott's Fancy," "Pioneer Clog," "Hanover Hornpipe." Scottish, English, Canadian, American; Hornpipe or Clog. USA, New England. Canada; Prince Edward Island, Ontario. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was recorded in the 78 RPM era by flute player John McKenna under the title "Buck From the Mountain (The)."
